Legal Assistant

ABOUT THE ROLE

This full-time Legal Assistant position will provide administrative assistance to several attorneys at our firm, including one senior partner and two associate attorneys. After the first 90 days, working remotely two days a week is allowed.

Skills required include:

  • Ability to work well with a high-energy partner
  • Attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel, and ZOOM
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, including billing and document management

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Entering attorney time, and preparing monthly/quarterly bills
  • Scheduling government relations meetings on Capitol Hill as necessary
  • Scheduling conference calls and ZOOM Meetings
  • Coordinating travel arrangements and submitting expense reimbursements 
  • Drafting, editing & filing correspondence
  • Proofreading large documents
  • Assisting with file organization management
  • Attorney administrative support; faxing, copying, scanning, printing and FedExing

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of professional office experience
  • Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe
  • Knowledge of a legal billing system such as JURIS is desirable
